City Hall / Vandalism: A "very intoxicated" man, likely escaped from the nearby Tenderloin, smashed in a bunch of windows and some glass lamps at City Hall this morning. Sheriff's deputies were watching it all on a live-feed, and went outside and arrested the 37-year-old man, who was doing the damage with the butt-end of a knife. People are being re-routed to other entrances of the building. [CBS]
East Oakland / Multiple Shootings: One man was killed and three others were wounded in three separate shooting incidents last night after midnight. A man was killed on the 1800 block of 79th Avenue, another was injured on the 5300 block of Foothill Boulevard just minutes later, and near 4 a.m. two others were robbed and shot on the 3800 block of Foothill. East Oakland / Rape: A woman was kidnapped and raped by two men amidst the above violence at around 3:47 a.m. on the same block as the second shooting, the 5300 block of Fairfax Avenue near Foothill. [Examiner]
