A Vallejo youth who was reportedly below legal driving age was pursued by police on Friday after the juvenile was seen speeding through a red light in a stolen vehicle, causing several near-collisions.

KRON4 writes that a Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen on Tuesday night, which police spotted on Friday being driven at a high speed through a red light by a juvenile suspect who was too young for a driver’s license, nearly causing several collisions.

Police pursued the suspect who reportedly continued “ignoring stop signs, swerving into oncoming traffic, and running multiple red lights with no regard for public safety.” Eventually, officers were able to disable the vehicle, and the juvenile fled on foot before being arrested and taken into custody.

According to the Chronicle, the youth had a “no-bail warrant for probation violation.”
